ARGOS FINANCE -- SOLUTION-PROVIDER FOR DEVELOPING MARKETS FINANCIAL SERVICES -- LAUNCHED BY FINANCIAL ACCESS AND STACHANOV
AMSTERDAM, 19 February 2014 – Two Amsterdam-based specialist firms, Financial Access Capital Partners B.V. (“Financial Access”) and Stachanov Solutions B.V. (“Stachanov”) have launched a joint venture called Argos Finance. Argos Finance provides innovative and effective workflow management as well as credit assessment and scoring solutions for financial institutions. The activities of Argos Finance target banks and microfinance institutions in emerging markets and developing economies. Pilot implementations are already underway in East Africa and Latin America. Earlier versions of the new Argos Finance platform are already in large-scale use by reputed organisations in the Netherlands and Belgium. Financial Access is a financial services advisory firm primarily active in emerging markets. The company was taken private from ING Bank via a management buy-out in 2007 and has executed more than 250 mandates in over 40 countries, each enhancing the operational, commercial and financial performance of the financial institutions it serves. Headquartered in Amsterdam, Financial Access has offices in Bangkok (Thailand) and Nairobi (Kenya).
Stachanov is an IT development and services company, also based in Amsterdam. Stachanov is committed to assisting its clients as they navigate the rapidly evolving field of IT applications and financial modelling. It develops financial simulation services, risk modelling and work process solutions for a wide range of clients in the Netherlands and abroad.
